This book is probably the best camera/photographic book I've read.The descriptions are good, witty and, most importantly, accurate.I consider myself to be reasonably well informed about Sony cameras in general and this book is exceptional!But: The book not only covers operation of the camera but also insights of DSLR photography in general.By the way, I consider the A580 to be the best Sony has produced, with the possible exception of the full frame versions.It will also probably be the last DSLR that Sony will produce, because of the new DSLT technology.The camera has the same sensor as the new "translucent" models, but being a "reflex" has the advantage of the full incoming light going the sensor instead of the 70% reflected by the new "translucent" mirror...all covered by the book!If you're getting, or have, an A580, this book is absolute MUST.Brian S.
